HOW IT BEGAN

This is my son Daniel, four years of age and dressed up as Mr. Strong for World Book Day. An idea came about due to a very uncomfortable headboard and a desire to create something unique for Daniel.

I imagined a headboard covered in swirling Mr. Tickle's arms and inspiration struck!

Which other characters could I turn into a design repeat? Mr. Messy's squiggles, Mr. Bump's bandages, Little Miss Princess's crowns?...Sketches ensued, all inspired by the iconic characters of Mr. Men & Little Miss!

I pitched a collection of these designs to enthusiastic response from the Mr. Men team and I am now working with them to develop unique and exciting licensing relationships with high-end retailers.

These designs could serve as a catalyst for potential collaborations with creative brands, opening the door to exciting new opportunities.

LITTLE MISS PRINCESS - A beautiful fleshy pink with joyous yellow crowns and dotted with baby blue diamonds. I can't wait to get this into my little girls room!

GLOSSARY

1. My boy seen here leaning against the headboard I imagined! Upholstered in 'Mr.Tickle' linen blend with 'Mr. & Little Miss' cushion piped in green.
Made by the very talented Lee Dearly of Finch & Toad.

2. This room was created for Dan's friend Grace! It bursts with fun, just like her! A fabulous Louis XV chair upholstered in linen blend 'Mr. Messy', with 'Mr. Tickle', 'Reverse Tickle' & 'Mr. Men Navy' cushions and 'Lazy Stripe' floor cushion. All Linen blends. This is a CGI Image created by the super tech Orbital Vision with thanks to the amazing Alice Clarke!

3. Large sofa upholstered in 'Mr. Men Navy', in Royal Velvet. Characters measure on average 35cms across. Another wonderful CGI image by Orbital Vision.

4. My special guest seen here sitting on a French vintage daybed with loose seat cushion. Detailed with pinched edging and knotting. Upholstered in 'Little Miss Lilac' with co-ordinating 'Lazy Stripe' cushions and bolster. It's girly, yet bold. All credit to the talented and tasteful Lee Dearly at Finch & Toad.

5. We all need a seat we can read or dream in and here is ours! Large window seat cushion upholstered in 'Mr. Men Black' with 'Happy Stripe' & 'Reverse Tickle' cushions. All linen blend. CGI by Orbital Vision.

6. This is such a versatile design. Fab background colour, gentle and totally great for your own Mr & Little Miss. Curtains in 'Mr. & Little Miss' with wall lights donning 'Reverse Tickle' lampshades. Plates made by yours truly! Image by Orbital Vision.

7. What a great boys room! Super fun headboard upholstered in 'Mr. Bump' fabric with co-ordinating 'Eggs!' and 'Nosey Stripe' cushions. Image by Orbital Vision.

8. The sweetest little occasional chair, rescued and redeemed by Lee Dearly of Finch and Toad. Upholstered in 'Little Miss Princess' fabric with my little girl, Jemimah sitting in it. She loves this little chair! Seen with a scalloped edged 'Crown Stripe' cushion.

9. A ruffle edged headboard upholstered in 'Hats!' with 'Nosey Stripe' cushions. Such a fun room! The chest of drawers are covered in the 'Reverse Tickle' design and the gorgeous embroidered artwork and painted frame are by the very talented Eppie Thompson of The Fable Thread.

10. 'Eggs!' seen here as a quirky cushion by Lee Dearly. It's a great co-ordinate and works really well on its own or with the bold character fabrics.

11. Laughing Daisies! seen here as splendid, generous floor cushions along with 'Lazy Stripe' smaller cushions. Another fantastic image by the amazing CGI experts, Orbital Vision.
